Today is “Skärtorsdagen” – the day when children dress as “Påskkärringar” ! Leon and Maya dressed up for part of this Pagan celebration, and knocked on a few doors in the neighbourhood to give homemade Easter cards and receive sweeties!

And today was also the day when we decorated the “Easter Tree”. Branches of birch tree are used because the buds take a short time to open when placed in water, and look pretty among the coloured feathers and hanging eggs. We were given these branches from our friend who lives in the forest!
