We really enjoyed this activity – using our ‘moulting’ Christmas tree!
Strings of popcorn, dried cranberries, raisins and any other bits of dried fruit!
Apple slices and monkey nuts!
Pinecones covered in peanut butter and rolled in bird seeds!
All the food used was old – apple a bit mushy, dried fruit found way in the back of the cupboard, and the corn was popped from the kernels we’d used earlier for play (autumn sensory tray). The pinecones were all in our role play box. Only the peanut butter cost us a penny or two to part with!
We then decorated our tree for the second time this year!
And sprinkled bird seed around the bottom of the tree!
We put the tree outside Alfie’s bedroom window – a great place to see the birds!
