It’s time for the traditional ‘Easter Tree’. I’m not sure what the historical meaning is behind them, and the only information I could find was this, but they are without doubt, very pretty!
Going by the name of ‘pĂ„skris’, one uses branches of birch in a vase of water, and ties coloured feathers to the ends of the branches. Eventually the buds on the ends of the branches sprout, and little green leaves appear, making it even more pretty.
Often people also hang on little egg decorations (as we did last year) , but this year Maya decided to tie on some (rather worn out) butterfly decorations…


Oh how beautiful! I love the colors of the feathers! And butterflies! A great idea! i am immediately putting some butterflies on my own Easter Free.
