This is my last post about Öland – aimed at my fellow Swedes – or indeed anyone else visiting Öland with kids!
Three fun things to do….
Firstly, a place called ‘Mellböda Gård’. Started by a German couple a few years back, the place consists of a café selling German pastry delicacies, an excellent toy shop selling Waldorf toys found no-where else in Sweden, and an indoor, and outdoor play area of a most unusual kind. This isn’t a place where you can play in ball ponds as such, but instead…
….Do a little (play) shopping…
Run in a growing labyrinth…
Watch the collection of wind toys…
Or spy a couple of cars in a tree…
Alternatively, try out Lådbilslandet, which is slightly larger than the Nykvarn one, and dare I say it, even more fun!
With vehicles galore to drive…
Finally, spend a couple of days at ‘Ölands Djurpark’ where you can not only see the animals, swim in ‘water land’ and ride the carousels (in my last post), but also check out ‘story land’, ‘dinosaur land’, and ‘indian and cowboy land’…
Lots to look at, touch and play on…
