“Valborg”

In Sweden the last day of April is given over to the celebration of the arrival of Spring, and this is called “Valborg”. People get a half day off work/school, and in the evening go down to the local bonfire, to watch the burning away of the winter branches and leaves, and to enjoy songs, food and fireworks!

We decided to go to the bonfire at the local lake…

The local scouts, whom Leon is due to join next year, had also built a hanging rope bridge and obstacle course, and Leon absolutely loved this!
