‘Hagelby Parken’ is one of Sweden’s many ‘folkets park’, literally meaning ‘ the people’s park’ – an area where families traditionally meet to get out of the city, and go for various kinds of entertainment, most commonly dances. No dancing for us today however, much to Richard’s relief, but instead a pleasant walk looking at the animals and the snowmen, and a nice lunch in the beautiful cafe…
There are a few farm animals in the park, all park of a 4H farm where kids can help out.
The cafe here is outstanding – beautiful to look at, and beautiful homemade food!
These snowmen were a few in a (rather poorly turned out) snowman building competition – this was our favourite – can you see him?
Have you ever seen a ‘Pippi Longstocking’ bird box?
