Denmark lies just a couple of hours drive from Skåne, and since the Öresund bridge has been built (the longest one in Europe), it’s even nearer. Well it would be silly not to take a trip there, wouldn’t it really? 😉
The bridge was very impressive. Majestic almost….
Copenhagen was the nearest city, so seemed the sensible place to visit.
We couldn’t visit Denmark without going in to the lego shop (not in our family anyway!)….
The kids were thrilled to choose their own pot of lego from all the assorted pieces. Like kiddies in a ‘sweet shop’…
….the choice is endless….
….and often hard to reach…..
Copenhagen is a buzzing city – with some amazing street artists….
When we’d had our fill of street artists we spotted this….
The ‘Guinness Book Of World Records’ museum! Well, as Leon is a big fan of the world records, we had to take a look inside….
…..at the tallest man….
….the heaviest man…..
….the fastest car….
….and the man who has eaten the most metal….
Leon tried to beat the record for the fastest drum beat…
Nope. Too tricky!
We then took a walk down to the harbour…
Busy but beautiful!
And in true Scandinavian style, we found a lovely child centred area right in the middle of the city…
On the walk back to the car (with an ice cream on the way), we walked past the Hans Christian Anderson shop! Our pockets were empty, and the little ones were very tired…
“We’ll have to come back again soon” I told Maya…..
