Skåne : Mandelmann’s Garden

The Mandelmann family live their lives through sustainable living. Their huge garden is open to the public, who can look around, buy some vegetables or jams (grown and made on the premises), or perhaps support them by eating some of their wonderful homemade food from the cafe (everything taken directly from their garden or the small farm).
We thoroughly enjoyed being here…

The sheep’s wool is used to keep the slugs off – brilliant!

Ted found a kid’s wheelbarrow and just loved pushing it around everywhere…

The garden was huge – with orchards of fruit, patches of pumpkins, squash and kale to name but merely a few, and huge green houses with tomatoes and courgettes. There were bee hives and ladybird houses, herb gardens, chickens, pigs turning the soil – and lots of little cosy areas to eat food from the cafe – and the food was outstanding!

At this point however, Leon took my camera for a few nature shots. He took quite a lot, so I’ll just include a handful…
