Pumpkin Lollipop Muffins For Father’s Day

In Sweden, father’s day is celebrated on the second Sunday in November.
This year Maya decided she wanted to make ‘pumpkin cake lollipops’ – her own ‘invention’…

Three different colour muffin mixtures were made – plain, orange and black, and the muffins were cooked as normal, with lolly sticks stuck in the middle of each one just before they went in to the oven.

When taken out, and cooled down, she decorated the bottom of each muffin as a face, using raisins..

..and then cleverly set them in a decorative way, standing up in a bowl…

The kids then used the muffins as a centrepiece for the other gifts they were giving…..

…and here they are admiring their creation….

This year was a little special because it’s the first year that the kids did absolutely everything themselves – the choosing, the buying, the making, the wrapping and the preparing. Lovely!
