Inspired by a friend’s ‘toy’ back in England, we decided to build a little water experiment for the kids…
Using two long open gutters, cut in to smaller pieces…
Plastic garden trellises to balance the gutters at different levels…
And wooden rounds of tree trunk to lean the guttering at the lower levels…
Aim towards the sand pit, and add water! Β
What fun! The endless possibilities! I can see this being remade in many different ways – to optimize whatever they’re looking to do that day π
I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE for you to come link up to It’s Playtime this week!!!
Jamie @ hands on : as we grow
Sure Jamie, I’d love to! π
Wonderful! I love the idea of using the plastic garden trellis as a stand – it was like they were made just for this purpose!
Absolutely! π
That Alfie just gets cuter and cuter.
:)!
How nice to see real open ended use of guttering. Thanks for sharing! Great photos!
Thank you Juliet!
I am picturing endless possibilities here. Really LIKE this one! Would make a great marble run too.
Great idea Amber! I think we’ll have to try it!
Are the gutters themselves plastic?
They are! π

What did you connect the gutters with?
Is it just “gutter connectors”? My boys would LOVE this! What a great idea!
Hello Megan – yes, gutter connectors! It was very easy – the hardest bit was sawing the actual gutters to different sizes. Its been very popular! π
