A Garden For Little People

We have a special area in our garden.

For little people.

And i just love it!

A little path leads the way…

A wall of grass ‘blocks’ surrounds the area.

Metal coloured flowers have been ‘planted’ upon it to ensure no feet walk on the wall.

Sunflowers have been planted around (still growing).

And the grass has been left to grow wildly…

Inside, a fruit box kitchen has been laid out.

Real saucepans and frying pans are available….

Small metal kids pans are also added.

Glass jars to stand small metal spoons, whisks and sieves in.

And small clay flower pot trays for ‘hobs’.

A wooden box of pine cones, perhaps for food…

…and a bucket of stones (much loved by the littlest one!)…

The wood stumps make for a great table and chairs…

(A tea set is always available)

Our bamboo teepee, now woven with plastic bag strips stands on one side.

To make it cosy, there is hay on the floor, a couple of homemade wooden tables (not seen), and some gardening mats to sit on.

In one corner there is our ‘mud pit’, with spades and pots available for digging…

On the other side lies a tiny path, with gnomes and figures on one side…

Leading up to our music tree…

Wind chimes hanging from a broomstick.

Old xylophone pieces, different sized clay flower pots, a triangle, a cow bell, a homemade shaker and a string of shells…

And not to forget the ‘drums’ (a big clay flower pot tray and an old biscuit tin) and drum sticks…

Around the other side there is a rather ugly netted wire fence which looks on to the road….

….but it make a great place for weaving…..

Beside this we have a very little plum tree, to which we have hung beautiful beads…

… and have tied beautiful homemade butterflies to….

…and in case anyone feels like doing a little tidying up…

…a rake and a broom might come in handy…

Right in the middle lies our fairy garden…

(check out the details here)

…where wild flowers have been planted and are starting to grow…

We hope you love our little ‘creative corner’ as much as we do…

🙂
